9:30am Meet in front of the Hawthorn Suites and caravan 19 miles to
Archer City, Texas

10:00am – 12:00pm Visit the bookstore “All Booked Up”, walk around Archer City

12:00 noon Catered lunch at the Royal Theater

1:00pm – 4:00pm Speakers at the Royal Theater, share portfolios, movie “The Last
Picture Show”

4:00pm Panel discussion with Craig D. Hillis, Bruce F. Jordan, and Steven
Fromholz

5:30pm Catered dinner at the Royal Theater

7:00pm – 9:00pm Concert – Steven Fromholz

9:00pm Drive back to Hawthorn Suites in Wichita Falls

9:30pm Portfolio sharing at the Hawthorn Suites

2:00pm – 4:30pm Speakers at the Lamar D. Fain College of Fine Arts, Midwestern

4:30pm – 7:00pm Break for dinner

7:00pm Featured speaker, William Christenberry, at the Shawnee
Theater-Student Center, Midwestern State University

8:00pm – 10:00pm “ARTifacts” opening exhibition at the University Art Gallery,
Midwestern State University

10:00pm Portfolio sharing, Hawthorn Suites

Information

• Most people will use Thursday, Sept. 30th as a travel day to get to Wichita Falls, Texas

• Please bring your portfolio to Archer City on October 1st, there will be opportunities to look at each other’s pictures there.

• There are ten speakers currently scheduled: Craig D. Hillis, Bruce F. Jordan, Mitch Kern, William Christenberry, Lawrence Jasud, Robert Hirsch, Jennifer Loshaw, James Hoggard, Sandy Wassenmiller, and Cathy Miles. More information on these speakers will be included with your registration materials.

• Most people will spend Saturday night at the hotel and leave Sunday morning.

• The conference is over at the end of the “ARTifacts” opening reception on October 2nd.

• Everyone is “on their own” for lunch and dinner on Saturday, October 2nd.
